Wi-Fi support is another hot new feature in Android Wear 5.1.1. It is important to note that the functionality will only be available on the LG Watch Urbane, Moto 360, Sony Smartwatch 3, and Samsung Gear Live.

The new update requires users to run the latest version of the Android Wear smartphone application. Google will rollout the new firmware gradually in the days and weeks ahead.
