Microsoft holding Windows 9 event this September 30th

Windows 9 logoMicrosoft has today sent out invites to an upcoming event which the company is expected to unveil Windows 9 and release a public technology preview for Enterprise users. The event has been rumored for a while now, and the official invites finally confirm that September 30th will be the day the company talk openly about their plans for Windows 9.

Joe Belfiore and Terry Myerson will be leading the presentation, talking about and walking through the many new changes available in the Technology Preview. This past week, a number of leaks from a partner build of Windows 9 appeared on the internet, giving us just a small glimpse as to what we can expect in Windows 9 when it launches in 2015.

Microsoft is expected to release a public Technology Preview at its September 30th event for Enterprise users to download and test. This will be the first official version of Windows 9 available to the public, and feedback will be the main source of improvement throughout its development. Microsoft is planning to update the Threshold preview multiple times a month with new builds which could differ depending on your feedback.
