Google launches stable versions of Chrome 35 for desktop, Android

Google Chrome logoGoogle has promoted Chrome 35 out of beta into stable software, pushing it live to users today through Chrome's quick update feature. The update comes for not only desktop users of the browser, but also to Android devices. Both versions of Chrome 35 address several bug fixes and adds features for standard users and developers alike.

Windows, OS X and Linux versions of the desktop client, Chrome version 35.0.1916.114, addresses a 23 security fixes, six of which Google made a point of stating based on their medium and high priority. Improvements intended for developers include more control over touch input, new APIs, support for unprefixed Shadow DOM and new Javascript features. For end users, work has been done to improve browser performance and stability.

Chrome 35 for Android brings a helpful feature from the desktop version to mobile devices. Build 35 has added the ability for a user to reopen a closed tab, adding a button at the bottom of the screen. Other updates in version 35.0.1916.122 include the ability to use fullscreen video with subtitles and HTML 5 controls, the ability to cast some videos to Chromecast and support for multi-window devices.
