Android 4.4.2 allegedly coming to Various Xperia models in June-July

Android logoSony Mobile has already confirmed plans to bring the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system to various Xperia models in the not-too-distant future, and some more info on the matter has allegedly emerged online this week.

The info comes from a leaked document that has emerged over at justaboutphones, and which has reportedly been leaked from a source with Sony India.

According to said document, handsets such as the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR should receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in June.

Moreover, the report claims that phones such as Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia M2, Xperia E1 and Xperia SP will get the update sometime in the June-July timeframe.

Apparently, Sony is also planning on making the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update available on phones such as Xperia C, Xperia L and Xperia T in the coming two months.

What’s interesting to note here is that the Xperia SP is supposedly set to receive the Android 4.4.2 update soon, despite the fact that Sony has been already said to have killed plans on releasing this OS flavor to the phone.

We’re not sure about the accuracy of report, and we’ll take the info with a big grain of salt for the time being, as it might prove to remain only a rumor in the end.
