OpenOffice – well known office pack with open initial code that is the free alternative for Microsoft Office. In the amount of a great number of the pack functions there is the MS Office support, PDF export and others. OpenOffice is supplied with the components:

  • Writer – great text editor, that is the alternative of well known MS Word;
  • Calc – spreadsheet application, the MS Excel alternative;
  • Imress – the application for the presentations creation. PowerPoint is for these purposes in the Microsoft Office;
  • Base – off-line application for the DB creation, the analogue of the Microsoft Access;
  • Draw – rather simple graphic application;
  • Math - application for the formula settings.

There are a lot of modifications in the latest 3.0 release of the program: new interface, the speed stability increase and a lot of other corrections and new features. And the latest update 3.1 presented only several bugfixes.
