Google+ lowers minimum age to 13 years old

Google+ logoGoogle intends to increase their subscriber base by lowering the age where one is able to join Google+, the search engine giant’s own social networking service. ACcording to Google’s Vice President, Product Management, Bradley Horowitz, this particular move would ensure that Google’s own social network would be in a better position to go up against bitter rivals Facebook. You can say that Google+ has “caught up” with Facebook, as the latter always required individuals to be at least 13 years old before one is able to create an account. With the playing field evened out in this case, do you think that Google+ will see a sudden spike or jump in user registerations? All I know is this, parents ought to make sure their kids remain safe online – and there are plenty of books or courses out there that will give a clear outline on how a teen should behave online, and being extra careful never harmed anybody, either.
