Apple’s next iPhone event will apparently be September 10

Apple iPhone 5According to anonymous sources speaking with AllThingsD, Apple's next iPhone event looks to be on September 10.

Expect whatever device Apple announces to be running their newly unveiled iOS 7, which will do away with the mobile operating system's old aesthetic while bringing things like a multitasking feature, iTunes Radio, and an improved Siri. In terms of potential security advances, recent iOS7 betas have even shown what appears to be fingerprint-based unlocking strings within the build.

The alleged date comes after Apple revealed its Q3 earnings within the last three weeks, taking in $35.3 billion in revenue with $6.9 billion in profit (roughly even revenue with a slight dip in profit from their figures in Q3 2012). Of course, a new model of iPhone will certainly impact that second figure—as could a continuously longed for low-cost iPhone model.

Whenever Apple confirms the date of its next device announcement, Ars will be sure to share the news. In the meantime, we'll be on the look for credible leaks and speculation as this supposed September 10 date nears.
