The Xbox 720 might be announced at a special April event, as a company that handles conference organization for Microsoft has just registered a special domain for the upcoming reveal.
Sony surprised lots of people, including Microsoft, by revealing the PlayStation 4 this week, instead of waiting for big trade conferences like E3 2013.
Now, it seems that Microsoft doesn't want to wait until June for E3 and has begun organizing a special event that will reportedly take place in April.
NeoGAF users have just uncovered a new website domain registration for XboxEvent.com, which has been filed by Eventcore, a company that specializes in organizing conferences for big corporations. Eventcore was also responsible for the Microsoft press conference at E3 2012, so it makes sense that the two companies are continuing their partnership.
As of yet, no other details are known, but you can bet that Microsoft will start teasing its Xbox 720 April event in the near future, once things are nailed down.
