ZTE makes Nubia Z5 official in China with $555 pricetag

ZTE logoZTE has officially revealed its flagship Nubia Z5 Android smartphone in China, the first of the company's high-end Nubia range of devices. The smartphone announcement, almost a week later than it was rumored to, sees Chinese customers being able to preorder the five-inch handset ahead of its January release.

The Z5 has a 1920x1080 resolution display powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor running at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and HSPA+ connectivity options are also included, as well as a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing version, and a 3000mAh battery.

The Nubia Z5 is available to preorder for 3,456 yuan ($555) ahead of its January release, according to Unwired View, in both black and white color options. A titanium version will be priced at a premium 7,890 yuan ($1260).
