Doom 3: BFG Edition goes on sale on Steam

Doom 3: BFG Edition goes on sale on SteamDeveloped by the original team responsible for the Doom franchise, Doom 3: BFG Edition is now available for purchase on Steam.

Fans of the genre will be able to play any of the old highly-acclaimed titles that are included in this bundle: DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3, and DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil.

But that's not all, Doom 3: BFG Edition includes additional content in the form of a new chapter called “The Lost Mission,” which features seven new single-player levels and a brand new storyline.

Keep in mind that Doom 3, along with its Resurrection of Evil add-on pack have been re-mastered for the consoles. Doom 3 BFG Edition comes with 5.1 surround sound, improved rendering and lighting, as well as a new check point save system.

Doom 3: BFG Edition is now available on Steam in North, Central, and South America, and is likely to go live in Europe and other territories on October 19.

The game can be purchased for $29.99 USD, but all owners of the original Doom 3 on Steam are eligible for a discount when they upgrade to the BFG Edition.
