Samsung Announces Galaxy Note 10.1

Samsung logoSamsung has announced a new addition to its product lineup that is set to launch this month: the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. The tablet features a 10.1-inch screen promising the functionality and precisions of pen and paper on a digital device.

The has a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and runs Android 4.0. The Galaxy Note 10.1 also includes a five-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, a 1.9-megapixel front camera, GPS, Bluetooth, integrated Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 host, and optional integrated mobile broadband capability.

As its name implies, the Galaxy Note 10.1 integrates Samsung’s S Pen experience with a variety of S Note templates and productive tools. The tablet screen is large enough to show two different applications side-by-side at the same time. For instance, users of the tablet could view a web page or watch video while writing or sketching on another application on the screen.

The S Pen is a 6.5 mm stylus that slides directly into the device and when removed, specially optimized applications are automatically launched. The tablet features what Samsung calls an active learning experience. This active learning experience includes tools for taking notes directly on any textbook and performing other research for educational needs.

“GALAXY Note 10.1 further demonstrates Samsung’s dedication to delivering products that offer a complete mobile experience for creating personalized and expressive content,” said JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “History has shown that taking notes, capturing ideas immediately, and sketching to realize them is the most personal and natural way to be more productive and creative. The advanced technology and features included in GALAXY Note 10.1 give users the power to produce, create and customize communications.”

The tablet will be offered with 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB of memory with a microSD card for expansion. The tablet will launch in late August at an undisclosed price.

Thanks Greg! We switched to TeamViewer suesucsfclly. Sorry join.me, but comments like Windows 8 is something that is being investigated by our development team above tell me that none of your developers knew that Windows 8 would work differently and nobody tested with the Beta that's been out for months. Not inspiring a lot of confidence that this will be fixed soon

I'm doing a presentation rndirgaeg IE 10 next month for a MeetUp group and if join,me doesn't have a Win 8 sharing client soon, I'll not only be using TeamViewer, but introducing a dozen or more people to it solely because I can share my Win 8 screen via TeamViewer, but not join.me. http://nxhewuhkiw.com wmtgrhpk aidnsi
