Alleged photos of iPhone 6s metal housing appear online

Apple iPhone 6Purported live photos showcasing the metal housing of the upcoming iPhone 6s made the rounds online, courtesy of 9to5Mac. The images have reportedly arrived from a source within Apple’s supply chain.

Rather unsurprisingly, the leaked images reveal that the iPhone 6s will feature the same design as the model it is bound to replace. It is also said to feature similar thickness and width as the outgoing model.

Internally, iPhone 6s will be quite different from the outgoing model. The device will feature different mounting points that will accommodate a brand new logic board.

Contrary to past rumors, iPhone 6s won’t feature a dual-lens camera system. The device’s camera and flash layout will likely be identical to those found in iPhone 6.

Antenna lines will remain present in the upcoming smartphone. The layout of the speaker and the ports will also remain unchanged. The Cupertino giant’s next flagship smartphone is expected to debut in September. The device has reportedly entered early production already.
