Samsung unveils Galaxy K zoom with 20.7MP, 10x optical zoom camera

Samsung logoSamsung has launched its rumored successor to the Galaxy S4 Zoom from last year. The Galaxy K zoom features a similar design language to the Galaxy S5, but offers an increased focus on the rear camera, switching out the Galaxy S5's 16-megapixel camera for a 20.7-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor with retractable 10x optical zoom and improved photography-related features.

Offering an ISO range between 100 and 3,200 and 1080p video at 60fps, the Galaxy K zoom has optical image stabilization, a maximum 3fps continuous shooting mode with autofocus, a Xenon flash, AF/AE separation, and Smart and Expert camera modes. A Pro Suggest mode offers five optimized filter settings depending on the shot, object tracing hopes to provide support in focusing on a moving object, and a "Selfie Alarm" will help users take pictures of themselves by advising when they are in the frame of the main camera lens.

It also includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and LTE connectivity, and uses a 2,430mAh battery.
