Nokia Lumia 630 spotted Online with 5MP camera and Windows Phone 8.1

Nokia logoAccording to the rumors, Nokia is working on a device known as the Lumia 630. In fact if the rumors are to be believed, there is a chance that Nokia could be announcing the Lumia 630 and the Lumia 930 at Microsoft’s BUILD conference which is taking place between the 2nd and 4th of April.

In any case not much is known about the Nokia Lumia 630 for now. Based on earlier leaked specifications, it has been suggested that the phone will pack a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854×480 while powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, but now thanks to Sofica, a site for testing cameras, additional details have been revealed.

Now it is no secret that the Nokia Lumia 630 will be destined to be a low-mid ranged phone offering especially given its earlier rumored specs, but being a low-mid ranged phone doesn’t mean that a camera would be omitted, right? Well according to Sofica, they have discovered that the Lumia 630 will be packing a 5MP rear-facing camera with no mention of flash or a front-facing camera.

This basically corroborates earlier leaked press renderings of the handset which reveals the phone’s somewhat basic and spartan design. Then again the omission of flash and a front-facing camera probably helped to contribute to the phone’s low price tag which is rumored to be at £78.

Unsurprisingly the Lumia 630 was also found to be running Windows Phone 8.1. We say this is unsurprising because many expect Windows Phone 8.1 to be announced at the BUILD conference, and it would make sense for Nokia to release the phone with the latest version of Windows Phone 8 onboard instead of worrying about updating it later, right?

Either way none of this can be officially confirmed right now, so take it with a grain of salt but do check back with us in the next couple of weeks to see if there are any additional details to be had.
