Huawei sales revenue rises 40%

Huawei logoChinese telecom giant and smartphone maker Huawei keeps building up its considerable momentum, announcing a 40% rise in sales revenue for the first half of 2016. This is a 10% improvement compared to the same time last year. In the past six months, the company amassed $36.8 billion (245 billion CNY) and intends to maintain this movement, setting a revenue target of $75 billion for the end of 2016.

Without reflecting on performance details, Huawei noted that it aims to conclude 2016 on a positive financial note, achieved by success in its ongoing operations. CFO Sabrina Meng added that the company has achieved "steady growth" across its three business groups (consumer, device, and enterprise) so far, owing it to its "balanced global presence."
