Therefore the window with the settings on the Windows Control Panel is a separate application. All it parts have one more unusual feature – there are not Cancel and OK buttons. Simply, do the settings and close them.

General part has the main parameters the browser operation.  It is possible to set the browser as the default one, search service by default, the default page (Home page, empty page, the latest session pages or pages from the bookmarks), indicate the Home page, set the period of the history empting and save parameters for downloaded files and links opening from the external applications (only if Safari is the default browser).

Apple refused of using the standard Windows font fitting mode and uses the own procedure. Mac OS X uses the similar one.  From the first view it seams the fonts are bolder then the other applications have.  But if such variant doesn’t suit you, you are able to reduce the color saturation.

To edit the tabs displaying it is necessary to use special manager. It is selected from the Bookmarks->Show All Bookmarks or by pressing the ‘opened book’ button in the left on the tabs panel. It should be noticed the bookmarks reduction is in the table, unlike other browsers. After mark the needed one and pressing F2 it is possible to edit it. To edit the location it is necessary to invoke the contextual menu by the right click. No additional popus are appeared in this case.

Tabs are the essential part of any browser. But some ‘old’ browsers open links in new windows instead of new tabs. These are Safari 2 and Firefox 1.0/1.5. Safari 3.0 doesn’t use this principle.  All tab settings are in the Tabs part. There are dips of them here: pen links in the phone tab, close multi tabs confirmation and conversion in new open tabs and browser windows during the opening.  And at the bottom of the window there are the fire keys combinations for the usability.
